This month, host, John Akhile, author of Unleashed: a New Paradigm of African Trade with the World, tackles two topics: a bad move with Tanzanian policy and Western nations’ negative perceptions of doing business in Africa.
First, “absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Every good leader must be willing to be held accountable by the people they lead. Tanzania’s leader wants to do well, but he must open himself up to criticism and rethink a recent fee for bloggers in Tanzania. And then, China. Africa. Western nations. It is time for Western countries, namely the United States, to change their views on the continent and follow China’s example.
